That artist, Adriano Caudullo, of the two final photos in my last post Who I've Met: one of the things we talked about was where I was from. I told him I live in a little town in Mexico.
"Where in Mexico?" he asked, and he speaks perfect English.
"On the west coast, near Puerto Vallarta," I replied, for I've met a surprising number of Italians who have been to Playa del Carmen.
"I've been to Puerto Vallarta, but not for long," Adriano said. "I didn't like it. It was too touristy. I spent most of my time in another little place near there that I liked a lot. It's called San Francisco. Do you know it?"
It's a small world might be a cliché, but it's sure true.
