As I am on a little trip, watching deer graze in the yard and sleeping under a down comforter, I'll take you to see the recent San Pancho Independence Day parade, which is always fun. All the school children in town participate, celebrating independencia.
Fortunately, photographer Chris Parsons made it to the parade before I did and has generously offered us his photos to view. Most of these photos are his. They're the ones with the nifty LightStyle logo in the corner, so you won't mistake his for my amateurish attempts.
Enjoy!
The mamas follow along on the sidewalk...
...as their children parade through the streets.
I'll be back with another post next week, although I have no idea what it will be. We'll find out together, shall we?

Gorgeous photos!!! I love, love, love the little brown pony with the blond tail and mane - what a beautiful animal! And a perfect size for his cute rider!
And I see you in the background of one of the photos! Looks like a lot of fun! I would love to have been there!
Stay warm in the PNW - xox

Thank you, Gretchen. I loved that little boy, too. He caught my eye as I passed and I was so happy to see that the photo caught what I saw. I want to paint him, don't you??

I love the little boy in white, arm resting on the wall, gazing at something that must be a hero on a horse.
You are testing autumn in the north just as a little reprieve?.... down comforters are pretty much aliens in your other world. Mexicans are pretty much professionals when it comes to parades and celebrations... we don't hold a candle to them!!!
